What a weekend!

Friday was a whirlwind. I've learned that moving day + shots for Meredith = a really stupid idea. Thankfully, everything went well and we're all feeling happy and settled in our new house (except for Philly, who got into the car as I was unloading groceries yesterday and wouldn't get out. I think he wanted to go back to the other house!). Meredith did great at the pediatrician's office. Mimi went with us so Daddy could stay home and unload the U-Haul (I was really sad to miss all the fun--moving brings out the best in both of us, as you can imagine). Mere is 17 lbs. and 27 inches long. That translates to 68th percentile for weight, 83rd percentile for height and 89th percentile for head circumference. We got the go-ahead to add some meat to her diet and to start finger foods. Last night was our first attempt at puffs--they were a huge hit!

We got some more exciting news this week about Meredith's new cousin. Aunt Vero and Uncle Patrick will be welcoming a baby boy in September. We're so excited!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Drew!

Today is my brother's birthday. Uncle Drew is 29. We hope he had a wonderful day in sunny Miami. We love you!

Six months!

Meredith is six months old today. Amazing how fast time flies! We started the morning by opening Meredith's Easter present from Mimi and Papa (today is Wednesday, which means Mimi was at our house bright and early to spend the day with Mere). Meredith liked her presents (as you can see), but she LOVED the cellophane that Mimi wrapped around the Easter basket. She's actually still playing with it!

Mere's Easter present included a bathing suit and cover up for the beach, plus this adorable sun hat and a pair of sunglasses. I know she'll never be this cooperative at the beach in July when she actually needs to wear them!

It's tough to wear sunglasses when your tiny little nose won't even peek out past the glasses!
